Work Retreat in New Orleans

April 23rd - 25th I'll be in New Orleans, LA with work on a Service Retreat! We (about 45 of us from all over the United States) arrive on Wednesday before 1 PM (actually I'll be arriving on Tuesday night because of a work conflict), we'll do supper that night then all day Thursday we'll be working on a Habitat for Humanity project as a team, then on Friday afternoon we'll all fly home. All this to say that as an ice breaker for our group they've asked us to find and upload a childhood picture of ourselves. If you'd like to see mine I have put them on my Facebook.

I ran across this picture while searching for my childhood photo and decided I had to share! What's up with the guy in the background? I've never realized how creepy it was until now...needless to say this pic was taken some time ago. Your thoughts?

Couch - The Rest of the Story!

Well after many many hours, miles of searching over 2 states, and a Blog survey I am finely in possession of a couch and small chair for my new apartment home. I'll have to get pics. up sometime soon. Thanks everyone for your input and especially to my dad and brother who were gracious enough with their Saturday to bring them to me from Indianapolis.

Couch Update

The next time you are in the need for new couch...do everything you can to figure out a better solution. Picking out a couch in your price range that you like is very, very difficult. I've not found one yet that I like (well I did but it's in Indy and I'm in Louisville). I'll keep you posted.

Otherwise things are well in the new city. I went to Ninth and O last Sunday and Highview Fegenbush on Wednesday PM to check them out. I'll keep you posted on the church search.

I'll be home this weekend as it's Jeannie's Birthday!!! She and I are going to run a 5K tomorrow AM as part of her birthday fun. Wish her a Happy Birthday when you get a chance! Happy Birthday Jeannie!
